Here are a couple of Bernie & Sammy’s favorite ways to teach children about sustainability! 

1. Visit and help at a local farm
2. Grow your own fruits and vegetables
3. Go on a “green walk” and pick up litter
4. Make homemade laundry and cleaning products
5. Experiment with making recycled paper
6. Plant a garden with flowers for pollinators
7. Reuse recyclable materials for arts and crafts
8. Read books about sustainability – like Bernie’s Escape from Ong Island
9. Go on a nature walk and explore
10. Participate in a local beach/hiking trail clean up
